ClimateRoad Inc. is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest practical audience including people with disabilities. We view accessibility as an ongoing responsibility and will work to identify, prevent and remove barriers as the website develops.

Accessibility approach

ClimateRoad is working toward alignment with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA where reasonably applicable to our website. WCAG is an international standard organized around content being perceivable, operable, understandable and robust.

This statement describes our direction and current practices. It is not a certification that every page, file or third- party component has achieved formal WCAG conformance.

Measures we are taking

As the V1 website is built and maintained, our accessibility work includes:

• using clear page titles, headings and content structure

• supporting keyboard navigation and visible keyboard focus

• using readable type, sufficient colour contrast and layouts that adapt to different screen sizes

• providing meaningful alternative text for informative images

• labelling form fields and presenting helpful error messages

• using descriptive links and controls

• avoiding unnecessary motion and providing controls where motion is used

• providing captions or transcripts when time-based media is introduced

• reviewing downloadable documents and offering an accessible alternative where reasonably possible

Known limitations

Some downloadable documents, archived materials or content supplied through third-party services may not yet provide the same level of accessibility as the core website. Third-party platforms may also operate outside ClimateRoad’s direct control.

If you experience a barrier or need information in another format, please contact us. We will review the request and work with you to provide a suitable alternative where reasonably possible.

Compatibility

The website is intended to work with current versions of commonly used browsers, operating systems and assistive technologies. Older or unsupported combinations may not provide the same experience. The web team should publish tested compatibility details after launch testing is complete.

Ongoing improvement

Accessibility will be considered when new pages, articles, resources and features are introduced. We may update this statement after testing, material website changes or improvements prompted by feedback. The “Last updated” date will show the most recent revision.

Web implementation notes

Complete these checks before publishing the Accessibility Statement. Do not claim WCAG conformance until the full production website has been evaluated.

• Test every template and interactive component with keyboard-only navigation. Confirm logical focus order, visible focus and no keyboard traps.

• Use one descriptive H1 per page followed by properly nested headings. Do not choose headings only for visual size.

• Verify text and interface contrast. Do not use colour alone to communicate meaning.

• Add useful alternative text to informative images and empty alt attributes to decorative images.

• Associate every form field with a visible label. Make instructions and error messages programmatically identifiable.

• Ensure the cookie banner and preference centre are fully keyboard accessible and screen-reader understandable.

• Check content at 200 percent zoom and on narrow mobile layouts without loss of information or horizontal scrolling where not essential.

• Review Word and PDF downloads for headings, reading order, link text, table structure, document language and alternative text.

• Provide captions for video and transcripts for audio when those formats are added.

• Use automated testing as a supplement to manual keyboard, screen-reader and visual review.

• Record known issues, owners and remediation dates. Update the public limitations section when an issue materially affects visitors.

• Confirm which AODA obligations apply based on ClimateRoad’s activities and employee count. Obtain accessibility or legal advice where needed.
