Trust Centre

How ClimateRoad approaches privacy, security, accessibility and responsible information.

TRANSPARENCY · ACCOUNTABILITY · CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

Trust is built through clear commitments and dependable practices. This centre brings together ClimateRoad’s public policies and explains the operating principles that guide our V1 website, communications and handling of information.

Our approach

ClimateRoad is building its governance practices in proportion to the nature of the organization, the information it handles and the services it provides. We focus on practical safeguards, clear ownership, limited collection and honest communication. Controls and documentation will mature as our operations and technology evolve.

This page does not claim independent certification, formal assurance or compliance with a named security framework. Any future certification, audit result or external validation will be identified only after it has been completed and can be supported.

Trust is built through clear commitments and dependable practices.

Privacy and responsible data use

ClimateRoad aims to collect only the personal information reasonably needed for a clear purpose such as responding to an inquiry, delivering a requested resource or understanding website performance. Our approach includes:

  • identifying purposes at or before collection

  • separating requested resource delivery from optional marketing consent

  • providing choices for non-essential cookies where required

  • limiting access to people and providers that need the information

  • retaining information only as long as reasonably necessary

  • providing a process for privacy questions, access requests, corrections and complaints

Security practices

ClimateRoad uses a risk-based approach to protect its website, accounts and information. The exact safeguards depend on the systems and providers in use. Our operating priorities include:

  • strong authentication and controlled administrative access

  • timely software and platform updates

  • secure configuration of website, email and cloud services

  • appropriate backups and recovery planning

  • careful selection and review of service providers

  • documented steps for assessing and responding to suspected security incidents

No system can be guaranteed completely secure. We therefore avoid absolute security claims and review safeguards as risks, technology and operations change.

Service providers

ClimateRoad may rely on providers for hosting, website operations, analytics, forms, email delivery, security and related technology. We seek to understand what information a provider handles, where it may be processed, which safeguards apply and how information can be returned or deleted. Provider access should be limited to what is reasonably required for the service.

Content integrity

Our goal is to publish useful, accurate and clearly presented infrastructure content. ClimateRoad’s publishing practices are intended to include:

  • reviewing factual and quantitative claims before publication

  • using credible sources and identifying material assumptions

  • distinguishing analysis, estimates and forward-looking perspectives from established facts

  • substantiating environmental and performance claims where required

  • dating articles and correcting material errors when identified

  • disclosing relevant sponsorships, partnerships or material relationships

Accessibility and inclusion

ClimateRoad is working toward an inclusive digital experience and alignment with WCAG 2.2 Level AA where reasonably applicable. Accessibility is considered in page structure, keyboard use, colour contrast, images, forms and downloadable documents. Visitors can report barriers or request another format through the contact details below.

Raising a concern

If you identify a suspected privacy issue, security concern, accessibility barrier or material content error, contact us with enough information to locate and assess the issue. Do not send passwords, financial account information, government identification or unnecessary sensitive personal information.

We will route the concern to the appropriate owner and respond as soon as reasonably possible. Information about an active security issue may be limited where disclosure could increase risk, affect another person or interfere with an investigation.

Updates

The Trust Centre will be updated as ClimateRoad’s website, governance practices and public policies develop. The linked policy pages contain their own effective and revision dates.

Web implementation notes

NOT PUBLIC PAGE CONTENT

The Trust Centre is a navigation and transparency page. Keep it concise, visual and evidence-based.

  • Build the six Trust Resources as linked cards with short descriptions and clear focus states.

  • Link every card to the final live destination. Do not publish placeholder links.

  • Show the most recent revision date beside each policy card if the content system supports it.

  • Do not display security badges, compliance logos, certification claims, audit claims or uptime commitments unless they are current and documented.

  • Confirm that every security practice described publicly is actually implemented or clearly presented as an operating priority.
